One month in: from a first call to meeting in London

One month ago today, Viktor and Samira had their first conversation — online, from two cities. Viktor in Vienna. Samira in London. A call between two people who didn’t yet know how quickly things would move.

A lot can happen in thirty days

Since that first conversation, the distance has disappeared. Viktor has relocated to London. We meet in person most days, with a routine that is rigorous without being rigid: focused blocks for the substantive sessions, and room for the parts that keep a startup human.

We have been sharpening the idea day by day — the product, the market, the story — and we have been honest about both sides of building a company. The fun parts matter. The hard parts matter too. You need both if you are going to stick with something for the long run.

The photo above is from the Royal Observatory Greenwich — a fitting place to mark a month of looking up and looking forward. A giant telescope behind us, a checkerboard floor beneath our feet, and the sense that we are still at the beginning of something worth paying attention to.

What we are building toward

GoodByeScope3 exists because Scope 3 emissions are too often measured in spreadsheets and forgotten in decisions. We want to change that — to help organisations actually reduce what they track, not just report it.

One month in, we are further along than two strangers on a video call had any right to expect. Not because we moved fast for its own sake, but because we kept showing up: learning, iterating, and treating the venture as real from day one.
